Buffalo Bills bring in Reggie Bush for visit, physical

NFL.com reported on Monday that Reggie Bush is close to signing with the Bills, who are coached by Rex Ryan.

The team announced Bush's visit on its Twitter account.

Bush was a college superstar at USC who was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft by New Orleans.

Bush is a 10-year National Football League veteran who played five games with the San Francisco 49ers last season before suffering a season-ending left knee injury when he slipped - after being pushed out of bounds on a punt return - on an exposed concrete surface surrounding the field in the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis.

Turkey president Erdoğan to drop cases of insult in coup aftermath
Gen Votel, head of US Central Command, said jailing some military leaders could damage Turkish-American military co-operation. Erdogan also said, "Even during the coup attempt process, we have not made the slightest compromise with the law".

The Bills offense wasn't necessarily "screen-predicated" a year ago, but there will likely be a shift to highlighting skill-position players' yards-after-the-catch ability this season, given it's reputation as a potent downfield attack.

When healthy, Bush is a dynamic threat as a rusher, receiver and returner.

Bush does have two 1,000-plus yard rushing seasons.

The Bills are in the market for a returner, too, but Bush struggled (albeit briefly) as a punt returner last season, and prior to that, he hadn't returned punts since 2011.

Last year, Bills quarterbacks made 68 of their 437 total attempts (15.5%) behind the line of scrimmage. Bills second-year running back Karlos Williams was suspended for the first four games of the season, leaving fragile LeSean McCoy as the team's only experienced running back.

The Bills confirmed that Bush is indeed visiting with the team on Monday.

That means Bush will compete with Mike Gillislee and 2016 fifth-round pick Jonathan Williams, who was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated earlier this month. Bush has averaged 4.3 yards per carry in his career and also has 470 career receptions, though his best season as a receiver came as a rookie, when he hauled in 88 passes for 742 yards.
