Kenya's Cheruiyot stuns Ayana to win 5000m gold

But the 5,000m world champion was overhauled in the final 2,000m by Cheruiyot and her Kenyan compatriot Hellen Onsando Obiri, who took silver.

Mercy Cherong of Kenya was fourth and Ethiopia's Senbere Teferi, runner-up in the event at 2015 world championships, was fifth.
