Ikea in $50m settlement over child deaths from falling drawers

In February 2014, Curren Collas died when he was pinned against his bed by a falling six-drawer Malm chest, reports the Daily Mail.

In a recent statement issued by the firm, they said: "The lawsuits further contended that IKEA had consistently refused to meet voluntary national safety standards for the stability of chests and dressers, which other American furniture companies had embraced".

In addition to the three children named in the settlement, at least 36 others have been injured and three more killed due to tip-overs, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Several Marvel Twitter accounts hacked by OurMine
The company has yet to confirm that it has regained access to its account, but the hacking tweets all appear to have been removed. Marvel's main Twitter account has close to 4.4 million followers, almost double Netflix's online following.

HIs was the third death attributed to same dressers.

The families of Curren, Camden and Ted retained Alan M. Feldman, Esquire of the Feldman Shepherd firm.

"IKEA has taken some responsibility for these deaths both through the settlement and the biggest furniture recall in the history of America", Klobuchar said in a statement.

Federal Bureau of Investigation agrees with Central Intelligence Agency that Russian Federation aimed to help Trump win
Russian Federation has denied the allegations that it was behind the hacking of the Democratic National Committee. Russian President Vladimir Putin's ordered the hacking, she claimed, "because he has a personal beef against me".

MALM dressers remain one of the furniture gian't biggest sellers.

The recall came after IKEA offered fix kits and wall anchors to customers as part of a repair-initiative that just wasn't getting the job done, as evidenced by the deaths of several small children. Lawyers told the newspaper that $50 million may be the highest settlement ever for wrongful-death cases involving children.

As part of the settlement, Ikea will also donate $50,000 to three children's hospitals in Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Washington - where the toddlers were killed - and $100,000 to child safety group Shane's Foundation.

One Big Issue We Already Have With DC's Planned Gotham City Sirens
Poison Ivy is the main connection for Harley Quinn as her confidant and best friend (or at least as close as Harley can get). None of these recent DC movies have lived up to their Marvel counterparts, never mind the DC movies of previous decades.

Prior to the recall in 2015, Ikea launched a campaign to urge consumers to request a free fastener kit if they have unsecured Ikea dressers. Ikea vowed to increase consumer perception of the dangers of tipping furniture, by allocating additional funds to a series of television and Internet ads.
