Suspect in Janesville Now Considered National Threat by Federal Bureau of Investigation

Rock County Sheriff Robert Spoden said during a Friday news conference investigators determined Jakubowski, who has been "highly agitated by national politics", penned a 161-page antigovernment manifesto, which was sent to President Trump at the White House.

Police say a man named Joseph Jakubowski robbed the Armageddon Gun Shop Tuesday evening. There was a reported vehicle on fire reported a short distance away, on Pennycock Lane.

The combination of those events led Janesville School District, along with Edgerton, Milton, Delavan-Darien, Elkhorn, Jefferson, Lake Geneva, Lake Mills, Fort Atkinson and Johnson Creek, to declare a soft lockdown.

The University of Wisconsin-Rock County and Blackhawk Technical College were also closed. Officials said they are not considering these threats "terroristic" until they know more about Jakubowski's motive.

After school activities will still take place at area schools tonight.
