Created to encourage reading as well as life-long learning, "Read by Design!", the six-week summer reading program at Effingham Public Library, is open to everyone from birth through adult.

This year's summer program theme encompasses a wide range of activities and subjects.

Featured performers include comedy acts, live music, and magic shows. "Offering an extra opportunity for community members to 'build a better world, ' in this case by donating food for others, is consistent with our organization's values". Once you finish signing up for the program, you can either head to the library to obtain a reading card or download it from the website. Simply register to receive uninterrupted access to our award-winning and in-depth local online content!

Meanwhile, Yolo County Library's Summer Reading Program runs from May 26 to August 19.

The Laramie County Library will give you prizes for reading over the next three months.
