SNES Classic Is Coming This September

Nintendo has announced the release of a throwback console that will have fans on the edge of their seats. It will ship with two SNES controllers, which thankfully have a relatively lengthy 5-foot cord (the NES Classic controller came with a restrictive 3-foot cord). The games are all internal, and we hope, like the Classic Edition NES, you can save at any time.

However this is something that Nintendo plans on addressing with the recently announced SNES Classic Edition.

The company adds that it's now planning to ship the SNES Classic only between its September 29th launch and the end of 2017 - there's "nothing to announce" about shipments in 2018. Many US Nintendo fans already indicated to import the Super Famicom Classic or SNES Mini just to get the better looking design. However, you will need to complete the first level of Star Fox to "unlock" the sequel.

Nintendo announced the Super Nintendo Classic Edition for the U.S. and the Super Nintendo Mini Edition for Europe on Monday. Well, you can expect to see Donkey Kong Country, Kirby Super Star, Super Mario World, and 18 other classic games.

The system will use standard HDMI cables and a USB power cable, the adapter for standard power sockets will not be included in the box, however.

This time round though, there will be several cosmetic differences to the console, depending on where you buy it from.

Republican Senator Rand Paul and Bernie Sanders, an independent who caucuses with the Democrats, were the only two "no" votes. To take effect, the measure would also have to pass the House of Representatives and be signed into law by Mr Trump.

Just like the NES a year ago, Nintendo has officially announced that the Super Nintendo Entertainment System will be getting a makeover in the form of a miniature replica with HDMI support.
