Miller's 63 at the 1973 U.S. Open at Oakmont is arguably the greatest round of all time.

Grace's record score came one year after Phil Mickelson nearly became the first to shoot 62 until his birdie putt on the 18th at Royal Troon in the first round swirled around the edge of the cup.

Grace's feat comes after 31 rounds of 63 had been recorded across the four majors, with Henrik Stenson and Phil Mickelson having done so at last year's Open. "I was so in the zone and playing the round so well", Grace said following the round.
