Though Google hasn't confirmed anything yet, a series of leaks and rumours over the last few weeks has given us a fair idea of what to expect from the new phones.

While the Pixel 2 will ship to customers on Thursday, October 19, the Pixel 2 XL won't reach its first buyers until Wednesday, November 15, reports VentureBeat, citing a person familiar with Google's release plans. Both phones will feature the Snapdragon 835 processor but the two will differ when it comes to display resolution. Both the smartphones will take leverage of 12-megapixel rear cameras and there would be front-facing stereo speakers.

Unlike the old PSVR which debuted previous year, the new design does not require users to disconnect in order to view HDR content. The new VR Headset will be bundled with the PlayStation Camera that will cost ¥44,980 which is around $400 in the global market.

In 2 days time, Google is expected to announce the next generation of their flagship Android handsets. The Google Pixel XL 2 might feature a new aspect ratio of 18:9. The question "why is my smartphone so dumb?" also indicates towards the presence of a better Google Assistant.

According to the images, the 6-inch screen on the Pixel 2 XL will have an 18:9 aspect ratio, thanks to slim bezels around the screen that will leave no room for a physical home button.

The leaked images suggest that both the handsets will sport dual speakers at the front - one above and another below the display. Further, Google will also introduce financing scheme and the 64GB variant will cost $35.38 per month over 24 months, while the 128GB will be available for $39.54 per month. There will also be some new new features like a squeezable frame and a new option to always listen for music in the background and display song information on the lock screen.
