Woman alleges Franken groped, kissed her without consent

Al Franken apologized Thursday after a Los Angeles radio anchor accused him of forcibly kissing her during a 2006 USO tour and of posing for a photo with his hands on her breasts as she slept. The former model said the incidents occurred in 2006, when she was touring with Franken in Iraq and Afghanistan, performing skits to entertain USA troops.

Until recently, Franken has distanced himself from comedy altogether during his eight years in the United States Senate.

In a statement to reporters, Franken said he doesn't remember the forced kissing, but said he shouldn't have conducted his behavior as he did in the photo.

Walmart Black Friday 2017 Deals to Avoid
This year Black Friday will be on Friday 24th November - but AO has announced a fortnight of Black Friday deals in the buildup. Best Buy's Black Friday 2017 sale will be massive, but many of its early Black Friday deals are just as good.

McCaskill seems to be referencing Franken's initial statement on the sexual misconduct allegations in which he claimed the picture of him appearing to grope Tweeden "was clearly meant to be amusing".

Tweeden accompanied her accusations with a hashtag #MeToo, launched last month on Twitter by actress Alyssa Milano to support her colleague Rose McGowan's complaint against movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Warren said Thursday that she was glad Franken acknowledged his behavior was inappropriate and that he had agreed to a Senate ethics investigation. "I hope the Democratic leader will join me on this". She wrote to Franken: "You knew exactly what you were doing". Moore has rejected the allegations as political attacks by his opponents, both Democrats and the Republican establishment led by McConnell. For example, according to IMDB, she has appeared on the "half-hour Fox Sports Net/Speed Channel motor-cross show High Octane (2002) and also hosted Fox Sports Net's Bluetorch TV (2000), an extreme sports show".

Tweeden says Franken wrote a skit for the pair during a 2006 USO tour to the Middle East and insisted they practice a kiss during rehearsal.

Airbus in $40 b deal to sell 430 A320s to United States firm
Overall, Boeing has been eating Airbus's lunch so far this year, out-selling the Toulouse, France-based planemaker by 690 to 343. Boeing 737 MAX 10s, a twin-engine, single aisle plane capable of carry 230 passengers, have a list price of $124.7 million.

"And during the show I would, I was kind of co-host with a handsome woman named Leeann Tweeden, and we'd do comedy routines, we'd introduce music, we'd introduce cheerleaders", Franken said. Then he said it again.

MONTANARO: Yeah. I don't think that this is something that, you know, applies to one party or the other. In a lengthy blog post, Leeann Tweeden said that Franken, who was then only a comedian and "Saturday Night Live" alum, "put his hand on the back of [her] head, mashed his lips against [hers] and aggressively stuck his tongue in [her] mouth".

At a press conference on Thursday afternoon, Tweeden explained that she didn't report the incidents because she didn't want to be the troublemaker. "While debating whether or not to go public, I even thought to myself, so much worse has happened to so many others, maybe my story isn't worth telling?" If his own victim isn't willing to call what he did a firing offense, Senate Dems could hide behind that as a reason to give him a second chance - if no one else accuses him of sexual misconduct. Still, she made sure to avoid Franken going forward.

Tweeden says she felt "disgusting and violated" and walked off to the bathroom to wash her mouth out. "The tour wrapped and on Christmas Eve we began the 36-hour trip home to L.A. After 2 weeks of grueling travel and performing I was exhausted".

Christopher Plummer replaces Spacey in Ridley Scott film
Spacey, who was 26 at the time , said: "I honestly do not remember the encounter, it would have been over 30 years ago". Kevin Spacey will be cut from Ridley Scott's new film " All The Money In The World " - which has already been made.

But the Minnesota Democrat said he has a different recollection of the kiss. "He had a chance to apologize to me, I wasn't holding my breath".
