Browns Interviewing Former Giants Coach McAdoo

Taking a step back and a lesser role may be a hard one for McAdoo after failing in NY, but he's got to begin to build himself up somewhere.

Coach Hue Jackson, who has called the offense's plays the past two seasons in Cleveland, already has one member of McAdoo's former Giants staff as an assistant.

According to multiple reports, former New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo is in town on Tuesday to interview for the Cleveland Browns' offensive coordinator opening.

Girl, 11, Can Take Medical Marijuana at School, Judge Agrees
Jim and Maureen Surin have sued the state of IL on behalf of their daughter Ashley (right) over the state's medical marijuana law. Friday a federal judge ordered Ashley should be allowed to have the medical marijuana as prescribed at school for the seizures.

Jackson also has interviewed Texans quarterbacks coach Sean Ryan and talked to several others for the job.

McAdoo was just let go by NY after leading an injury-riddled Giants team to a 2-10 start. If this interview works out, he would be joining a perpetual laughingstock that went 0-16 past year under Hue Jackson.

Dorsey and McAdoo spent seven years together in Green Bay when McAdoo was the tight ends coach and quarterbacks coach. He received interest from the Broncos to become their quarterbacks coach earlier this offseason before they eventually hired Giants offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan instead.

Bell held out at the start of training camp this season because he was unhappy about having to play under the franchise tag. Bell has wanted a massive contract, citing the desire to help all running backs in an era that has devalued the position.

Henry, 45, was free to interview with other teams after McAdoo was sacked. Also, former Tennessee coach Mike Mularkey, who was sacked Monday, could be on the Browns' radar.

News of McAdoo's interview comes just days after it appeared Jackson might not hire an offensive coordinator after all.
