Michigan State president resigns in wake of Larry Nassar sexual abuse scandal

On Wednesday, in a MI courtroom, hundreds of survivors of Larry Nassar's criminal sexual misconduct got some form of justice when Judge Rosemarie Aquilina sentenced the former USA Gymnastics team doctor to up to 175 years in prison.

Particularly in the last week during the sentencing, there have been many calls for Simon to resign.

"You do not deserve to walk outside of a prison ever again", the judge told the 54-year-old Nassar in a tense Lansing, Michigan, courtroom. You have not owned yet what you did. "It demands justice. And the sentence you impose today will send a message about how much these precious women and children are worth". A MI state prison sentenced Nassar to a minimum of 40 years and up to 175 years, The Washington Post reported.

Nearly 160 women, including Michigan State alumni, have alleged since September 2016 that Nassar sexually abused them under the pretence of giving them medical treatment.

Angry Zidane talks of 'fiasco' as Real hit new low
Speaking about Real Madrid's terrible defeat to Leganes , Zidane said: 'It's a fiasco. "My worst moment as a coach". Ramos added that Real need to learn from their cup failure, and turn their focus to the UEFA Champions League.

After his sentencing, an emotional Nassar said to his accusers: "Your words these past several days have had a significant effect on myself and have shaken me to my core". "Every time I made eye contact with him and even when I started at him he looked me in the eye the whole entire time".

Throughout the seven-day hearing, the stories have been strikingly similar - the former USA Gymnastics team doctor would call the women in for treatment, but instead of taking away their pain, he stole their innocence.

Although Nassar's work with gymnasts received the most attention, the allegations against him spanned a dozen sports over 25 years.

Aquilina took the letter and tossed it aside in disgust.
