There's Another iOS bug Crashing iPhones, iMessage and Other Apps

As first noted by Italian blog Mobile World, the bug occurs when a particular character from the Indian language (Telugu) is sent to a user.

Devices running iOS11.2.5 or MacOS are most susceptible to the bug, which causes iOS Springboard, the system app which manages a device's homescreen, to crash. According to the publication, affected users can apparently regain access to their iMessages if someone sends another message that can delete the threat containing the Telugu character. Through their own testing, The Verge discovered other apps are also affected by this bug including Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Outlook and Gmail. This is yet another similar case in which an iOS device causes the Messages app to crash, ultimately leaving users unable to open it again. If it appears as part of a message or is pasted manually in the textbox, the native app will crash and continue to close, no matter how long you try. You can only do so from another device though, and only if that device doesn't run iOS. As soon as the message is received, Apple's operating system crashes and you have no way of resurrecting your messaging apps. The app will crash too as it is failing to load the letter.

Key Battles That Could Decide Saturday's Meeting Between Manchester City and Leicester
It is not yet known if his decision to report for training puts him in contention to feature for the first time since 20 January. And Puel claimed both he and the Algeria global will focus their efforts on the rest of the season without any issues.

Apple is aware of the problem - as testing the issue in beta versions of iOS 11.3 did not have the same issue. It isn't like Telugu is particularly rare: it's a Dravidian language native to India and spoken by around 75 million people, making it the third most common native language in the country.

Some reports say that the situation worsens if the "rogue" character shows up in the notification. This is apparently to enhance adoption of new features, such as Core ML, SiriKit, and ARKit, that all are a part of iOS 11.

Turkey liquidates over 1000 terrorists during operation in Afrin - General Staff
Turkish forces were deployed in the Tall Tukan town of the Abu Zuhur province, in the southeastern Idlib de-escalation zone. Reportedly, the parties will discuss the Operation Olive Branch in Syria's Afrin during the meeting.

Still, until that updated version is released - or, indeed, until Apple pushes out a patch before that point comes - it's a frustrating and potentially very disruptive issue.
