'Black Panther' now highest-grossing superhero film in North America

"Black Panther" continues to break records at the box office, and the latest one is a doozy. Since then, T'Challa and crew have broken down a slew of other barriers including Fandango's presale ticket record. Black Panther has earned 630.9 million dollars till Sunday and thus overtook The Avengers' 623.4 million dollars mark.

According to a Deadline report, the superhero smash has secured over $1.2 million in global sales since coming out last month. This was the film's first weekend not at No. 1, as it yielded to "Pacific Rim Uprising", which debuted to $28 million domestically and added $123 million on foreign shores. It had the second largest opening weekend for a Marvel film, following The Avengers and it is the fourth film to top $100 million in its first two weekends. It stands at 1.23 billion dollars globally, while The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron earned 1.51 billion dollars and 1.40 billion dollars respectively. The Avengers sequel will surely incite audiences to see Black Panther again, or bring in those who still, somehow, haven't yet seeing the movie.

Date set for Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United FA Cup semi-final
This season they have 25 against so far with eight matches still to play, but the competition has been much stronger in 2017/18. United will be looking for revenge after the North London side outclassed them at Wembley in the Premier League in January.

The top-Tweeted box office hits of 2018 so far remain #BlackPanther, Star Wars: #TheLastJedi and Avengers: #InfinityWar, in that order.

Ryan Coogler's film is also the best-reviewed film of the 18-movie series, with a 97% rating on review aggregator, Rotten Tomatoes. These numbers make Black Panther the number three superhero film of all time at the box office worldwide.
