Steve Wozniak shuts down his Facebook account in protest

While Wozniak's comments might be read as merely parroting the Apple company line, he has spent many years outside the company espousing independent viewpoints, spotlighting his appreciation of Android phones and his lack of synchronization with Apple's marketing efforts. "I can still deal with old school email and text messages", he wrote. Steve, however, has said he isn't deleting his Facebook account just yet.

After deactivating his account, Wozniak posted this message.

Steve Wozniak, the cofounder of Apple, told USA Today he's quitting Facebook. Wozniak's official public page on Facebook, which has about 230,000 followers, was still active as of Monday morning but now has only two active posts. Woz joined Apple CEO Tim Cook in criticizing the social network. During the interview, Cook was asked about how he would have handled the situation if he was in Zuckerberg's shoes. "I think the best regulation is no regulation, is self-regulation", he said. And he heaped praise on Apple for respecting people's privacy.

What caused the WrestleMania altercation between Vince McMahon and Brock Lesnar
The Undertaker did make a return in a six minute match against John Cena and the pop he received was outta this world. If you watched WrestleMania , you know that the 80,000 people in attendance completely rejected the match.

Zuckerberg fired back, calling the statement "extremely glib" and explaining that ads are a way to offer its service for free so it doesn't only serve "rich people". He said "Apple makes money off of good products, not off of you".

Wozniak's decision appears to have been motivated by growing evidence that Facebook's personal data aggregation practices were causing untold harm behind the scenes.

Wozniak said he didn't like the way the company collects user data for advertising purposes.

Wozniak's departure from the platform is the latest bit of negative news for Facebook in the wake of the Cambridge Analytica scandal.

The dissenters include Tesla Inc chief executive Elon Musk and WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton, as well as red-carpet regulars Will Ferrell, Cher, Rosie O'Donnell, Jim Carrey and the band Massive Attack.
